THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.A note on my portrayal of Chris as it pertains to ships...here is a thing i am realizing the more i write chris and spend with him, especially when it comes to ships and sexuality....i still see him as gay. i would still identify him as gay and i feel as though he would identify himself in the same way. he's attracted to men. he seeks men out.however, and this has come with writing him over time....chris is a very emotion driven person. if he has a connection with someone. if emotions are high. if there is a click? it wouldn't matter. if it's a woman he very likely could and would fall for her in close, emotional situations and subsequently develop romantic and sexual attraction to her. this is why and how i still ship valenfield even with chris being gay. he's not going to seek out a woman at all, but if he happens to become close to one and one thing leads to another? yes he can absolutely have a romantic and sexual relationship with a woman. yes he'd be shocked and a little confused because of his preferences, but the connection with said woman would be enough for him to outweigh everything.really hoping this makes sense because normally i feel like people would say oh well he's just bisexual but... to be bisexual he'd have to have attraction to both genders, but he isn't attracted to women until and unless there's a deep connection.I will fully admit that I unabashedly ship the hell out of Chris/Piers and am open to Chris/Ethan, Chris/Leon, Chris/Heisenberg, Chris/Jill and Chris/Wesker.As I said? Chris wears glasses. He has since he was a teenager. However, he typically always uses contacts instead of his glasses.Chris’s right eyebrow is pierced 3 times. He doesn’t wear the jewelry when he’s on duty. However, when off duty he will still wear the jewelry. He usually wears curved barbells, sometimes captive beads, and less frequently horseshoe rings.Chris has smoked since he was 16. He used to try really hard to hide it from Claire, trying not to let his shitty habits rub off on her. He smokes menthols. Always has, always will.Speaking of things that happened when he was 16…. In accordance to plotting and shared headcanons with my main Claire, @trcubleinred Chris and Claire were in the car with their parents when they were involved in a horrible car crash. When Chris came to, he could smell gas. He grabbed Claire, who was 10 at the time, from the back seat with him and dragged her out to safety. As he was about to go back in for their parents, the car caught fire before medics and police could get there. This was the very beginning of his survivors guilt and PTSD.After the loss of their parents, Chris and Claire went together into foster care. Chris spent most of his time taking care of her and his school work and grades started to suffer from it. He got into more and more fights at school.When Chris was 18, he joined the Airforce as a means of trying to do something good while being able to make good money to get his sister out of foster care. Every time he was on break he would take Claire with him to his dorms or a hotel room.When Chris was 22, his hot-headed nature and insistence against his direct officer’s orders to do something he was told not to do. The move got him discharged from the Airforce. At this point, he took Claire out of foster care and worked odd jobs before he was recruited by Albert Wesker for S.T.A.R.S.In accordance with plotted headcanons with @bastardsunlight , Chris’s first time was with Wesker. He’d known he was gay, but didn’t act on anything because he had no interest in school with the loss of his parents and then taking care of his sister. He had some crushes in the Airforce, but never acted on them. Wesker had his… Ways lol.Chris always wears black no-show ankle socks. Like always. (I don’t fucking know why, but this one always cracks me the fuck up it’s my favorite dumb ass headcanon just saying)Chris sleeps in the buffChris is not the best of cooks, but he made it work for Claire. Together they came up with some interesting meals lol.Yes Chris does own and drive a motorcycle. He’s also got a couple sporty SUVs.The iconic “Made In Heaven” Redfield sibling jackets were a design he came up with and had made for himself and Claire. Chris gifted Claire’s to her on her 16th birthday. They’d often wear them while riding the motorcycle. And yes… He did tell her the jacket was lucky.Chris can actually dance. Like he’s really good at it. He spent… Some time at some… Clubs lol. Most notably, Chris can twerk (he can shake his money maker like it’s his JOB) really well and will sometimes back that ass up on friends/family/lovers/partners etc and will twerk on them to be an ass.Chris’s alcoholism ended after Piers died.Chris suffers from survivors guilt, CPTSD, depression and… Audio/Visual Hallucinations.Chris is fairly neat/clean but just messy enough. He keeps his apartments/homes neat enough, but clutter and some messes can still be spotted.One night, Claire ( @trcubleinred ) dared Chris to get a tattoo. They made a bet with a few wagers and stipulations. Chris, unfortunately, lost that bet. He now has the Redfield “Made in Heaven” emblem tattooed on his left ass cheek and has since he was 23.I do headcanon that he is originally from Michigan and likes to stay there when he can, so I imagine this as his main Michigan home.
As he isn’t home very often from being all over the place on this mission and that mission and because he’s a high profile Captain for the BSAA and needs to hide shit… He has a bunch of different homes spread out not just in the US, but around the world. A lot of them are under fake names etc. His Michigan main home is under a fake name. The only person that knows each location is Claire with Piers knowing most of them.
Resident Evil 8: MAINSet in events leading up to Village, during Village, and after Village up until the last shot. This got him into trouble with his commanding officer when he disobeyed direct orders to do what he thought was the right thing to do and not what he was told. During this time, before he joined S.T.A.R.S, Chris did a lot of rebellious things he had thought he never would have. It will be canon divergent in that, well, I don’t go for any of that Chris and Claire in an orphanage, or Claire and Chris not seeing each other for 5 years, or Chris not believing Claire… Ya know, ANY of the way they wrote and portrayed the Redfield Siblings relationship at all. This verse will still follow the events and line him up with the characters for anyone that would like to RP in this universe or writes a character from it.This verse is, of course, open to ANYONE. (Face claim, obviously, is Robbie Amell)Fallen Hero:Captain Albert Wesker was Chris’s mentor and most trusted person aside from his own sister. He looks up to the man and, hidden from others, he’s developed a relationship with the man, harboring romantic feelings for him. Wesker becomes Chris’s first boyfriend, but it’s all behind closed doors. Wesker, in both a literal and figurative sense, becomes Chris’s first of many things… Idol, mentor, boyfriend, partner….However, all of this seemed to come to a screeching halt at the Spencer Mansion. Everything Chris had known was washed away and his entire world changed. The man he trusted the most had betrayed him and the rest of the team. He couldn’t even begin to fathom why and before he could truly get to the bottom of it, he watched the man he’d fallen for die in front of him.Months later, Chris is reunited with a very much alive Wesker…This verse explores the “what if’s” and possibilities of a verse in which Wesker manipulates and corrupts Chris to believe in him and his cause by playing with his romantic feelings and emotions. Will Chris become even more dangerous as Wesker’s perfect weapon???This verse is open to ANYONE, but the Wesker in this verse will always be bastardsunlight’s Wesker as we developed this scenario and plot together.Coming Undone:Before the events of Village unfold, Chris gains an unexpected ally on the inside - Karl Heisenberg. In exchange for offering information to Chris and his team as well as his own help in a battle along with his army of Soldats, Chris agrees to help him take Miranda down and set the Lord free.The two form an unlikely friendship and bond. Everything is working in their favor and looking to play out in the best way possible. The plans are looking to work out so that the Winters’ can get out of this unscathed which is the best outcome for Chris. Until shit hit the fan hard one night…Miranda found out the plans to destroy her and sought out Chris. She offered him a “choice.” He could choose to take his team and leave, never returning and they would live, but Heisenberg would be destroyed and the Winters’ would not be safe. Or… He could surrender himself to her and Heisenberg would live as would his team.Chris surrendered himself, believing it to be the best choice. He assumes Miranda is going to kill him to make a point to Heisenberg. His life for the lives of his team and the man that had helped him and become a friend. However, his fate was one much worse than death.Chris was implanted with a cadou inside his chest on his heart. The effects of the cadou have caused his muscles to harden, making him more impervious to bullets and attacks naturally. It also gave him the ability to not only become incredibly aware of the emotions of others around him, but to be able to either heighten those emotions or influence other emotions on those around him. He is also unable to control the occasional blood from running from his eyes, nose and mouth.Physically, apart from the scar on his chest and the blood, Chris appears the same. Enough so that he could become a very powerful weapon against the B.S.A.A. after they turn on him. Or even against Miranda. What will he make of his new fate?This verse is open to ANYONE. However, the Heisenberg in mention is fcrrokinetic as we developed this verse together. A note - This verse can cause Chris to either become corrupt with power or to use the power for good, even if he is the very thing he’s fought against for half his life.Dark Side of the MoonYou lock the door

I'll see you on the dark side of the moonAfter losing all of his team apart from Piers in Edonia, Chris suffered a devastating blow to his head that lead to a traumatic brain injury. Though he was pulled to safety by Piers and brought to a hospital, Chris left treatment and went missing for 3 months. During that time he had no memory of who he was or his life. He turned to alcohol and drank all of his pain and confusion away, making his condition that much worse.By the time Piers found him and brought him back for another mission, Chris was in bad shape, but he knew enough that he had to get back to work. Even without the entirety of his memories and still in a state of amnesia, Chris knew that he had a job to do and put his work before his own health.Though he regained a chunk of his memories, Chris lost Piers (this can be verse dependent as I write verses with two Piers’s where he survived) and didn’t take any time to recover at all. He threw himself into nothing but work and avoided taking care of his own health at all.Chris struggles near constantly with the guilt of the loss of his team and most importantly the loss of Piers. (Please note that my Chris is always played and written that he and Piers were together for years and were very close/in love and very serious.This is very integral to my portrayal and not something I am willing to bend on.) He’s plagued with grief and effects of a traumatic brain injury that he insists on ignoring. He hides his constant struggles with memory loss, headaches, short circuits in attention, nightmares, hallucinations and vision issues. He simply pushes through and doesn’t allow anything to deter him from his mission at hand. He made an unspoken promise that he would keep fighting to his dying breath because it was what he had to do.This verse will be written and set either in his time of complete amnesia or post the events of RE6. This verse is open to anyone and can be tweaked according to and depending on the muse/relationship/verse. I can also tweak it for severity/progression/complications of the TBI. I am open to discussion/plotting of this.

Shipping, in all forms, is a very important part of my portrayal of Chris. Through ships, he is able to grow, change, experience and feel. They allow me to explore pieces of him that I otherwise wouldn't be able to. I get the ability to dig deeper into his character and bare all of his feelings, good or bad and get to the nitty gritty that couldn't happen without ships of some kind. All ships are important as they all add to his characterization and the overall arc of his character.I rarely, if ever, turn down any kind of ship. All I ask is that I am able to sit down and talk to you about the ship so I know we're on the same page. Communication is always key in writing ships.
